TRT in Spring Hill, TN

When we get older, we come to realize that everything we read and hear isn't always factual. That's particularly relevant when it comes to aging in men. If you were to listen to men 30 years ago, they might tell you that you have to accept the downsides of aging. Intimacy issues in the bedroom are just par for the course, right?

The truth is, as we age, our bodies undergo physiological changes with a gradual decline in energy and ability that is almost imperceptible at first. With time, those changes become more pronounced and concerning. And while older generations may have been content to carry on living with such burdens, advances in modern medicine have shown that these changes often stem from low testosterone.

Some of the most common symptoms of low testosterone include the following:

  • Low Libido
  • ED
  • Fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Depression
  • Muscle Loss
  • Hair Loss
  • Weight Gain
  • Energy Loss
  • Lethargy
  • Non-Interest in Sex

Those are frightening symptoms, especially if you're a man in your mid-thirties or early forties. But if you're suffering from one or more of these symptoms, you should know that you're not alone. Millions of men suffer from low T. In fact, it's been reported that as much as 75% of men go about their days with undiagnosed low testosterone. However, taking a proactive approach and taking the necessary steps to support your body during this transition can help you welcome the aging process and minimize physiological changes.

One of the most popular and effective ways that men across the United States are doing so is with TRT in Spring Hill, TN. This revolutionary therapy helps balance testosterone levels that would otherwise fluctuate with age, giving men just like you a tool to turn back the hands of time. But to do so, you must first understand the all-encompassing effects of testosterone in your body.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy Spring Hill, TN

Understanding Testosterone Levels and Aging

Testosterone is a hormone that is often associated with exaggerated masculinity and aggression. However, in reality, it plays a crucial role in almost every aspect of a male's life. This sex hormone is produced in the testicles and reaches its peak during puberty. The production of testosterone is regulated by the pituitary gland located at the base of the brain. The testicles receive signals from the pituitary gland and produce testosterone accordingly. If the levels of testosterone become too high, the brain signals the pituitary gland to stop its production.

Testosterone has a crucial role for males, and affects the development of:

  • Facial Hair
  • Body Hair
  • Voice Deepness
  • Libido
  • Sperm Development
  • Confidence
  • Muscle Mass

When a man gets older, however, his body begins to change, and his hormone levels often become imbalanced. When that happens, a litany of issues begins to proliferate, causing life to change drastically for men of a certain age. During this time of change, men often lose the "edge" that made them unique. If you're in your mid-30s or 40s, that may sound familiar. Fortunately, you don't have to settle for the new you. TRT in Spring Hill, TN, can help you reclaim the edge you thought you'd lost forever.

To get a true understanding of the advantages of testosterone replacement therapy offered by Compass Human Performance, you've got to know how it works. Testosterone was first synthesized in a laboratory in the early 1900s and has since been recommended as a treatment option for low testosterone levels in medical settings. In recent times, it has become one of the most frequently prescribed medications in the United States.

TRT is designed to re-establish healthy testosterone levels in males who have low T. Its mechanism works much like insulin does for diabetics. As one ages, the body fails to produce sufficient levels of this vital male hormone. When this occurs, an external source is required to replace it, and in this case, TRT serves that purpose.

While many men begin TRT regimens after 50, an increasing number of males in their 30s and 40s are undergoing testing to see if their testosterone levels are lacking. If you are experiencing symptoms such as ED but believe you are too young for low testosterone, you may want to have your T levels evaluated by an experienced doctor to find out for sure.

TRT For Men Spring Hill, TN

In most cases, testosterone levels begin to drop as a man reaches middle age. This is a natural process that is inevitable. However, sometimes, other issues can cause low T. Some of those causes may include the following:

  • Chronic Diseases
  • Injured Testicles
  • Obesity
  • Car Wrecks
  • Substance Abuse
  • Prescription Medications

Outlining the Benefits: Why is TRT in Spring Hill, TN So Popular?

At Compass Human Performance, many first-time patients often ask us about the benefits of testosterone replacement therapy. Luckily, there are a lot of benefits to cover for men suffering from low testosterone.

There is a significant body of evidence indicating that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) can have a positive impact on a range of health issues in men, including myocardial ischemia in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD), exercise capacity in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), and serum glucose levels, HbA1c, and insulin resistance in men with diabetes and prediabetes.

But that's just the beginning. Testosterone replacement therapy has been shown to provide men with a host of other benefits, including:

More Muscle and Less Body Fat

Numerous studies have demonstrated the significant impact of testosterone on men's muscle mass, strength, and body fat levels. This is something that most men who begin taking testosterone notice, as it often leads to a dramatic change in their physique. Testosterone is a highly effective muscle mass builder, as it increases protein synthesis required for growth and improves neuromuscular function, resulting in increased strength.

This is due to the androgenic effect of testosterone, which includes the effects of DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Men with higher testosterone levels tend to have lower overall visceral and abdominal body fat levels, as both things (when elevated) have negative impacts on overall health and can lead to increased mortality rates.

However, it is important to note that TRT is not a magic solution - while it is highly effective at increasing muscle, it is not effective at shedding body fat on its own. You can't just hop on a TRT regimen and expect pounds of body fat to fall off your body. A consistent workout regime and a healthy diet are essential for improving this, although testosterone can make the dieting process much easier for those who struggle to lose body fat.

At Compass Human Performance, your provider can help create a customized TRT plan tailored to your body, which includes recommended exercise routines and healthy life choices to supplement testosterone replacement therapy.

Enhanced Sex Drive

When a man has trouble performing in the bedroom, it can have a huge effect on his life, both mentally and physically. One day, you're able to "get it up" and have normal sexual intercourse. The next day, it seems like the passion is gone, and it's harder to perform like you used to. Experiencing such symptoms can cause you to go into panic mode. But with TRT, there's a good chance you don't have to.

Research has shown that there is a close relationship between men's sex drive and testosterone production, with higher levels of testosterone often resulting in increased desire. Additionally, low levels of testosterone can have a negative impact on erectile function, affecting both the ability to achieve and maintain an erection as well as the overall quality of erections. These findings highlight the importance of testosterone in male sexual health and provide insight into potential treatments for sexual dysfunction related to low testosterone levels.

 Ipamorelin Spring Hill, TN

Better Heart Health

Research has shown that testosterone can have a positive impact on physical exertion and heart health. In fact, a study conducted by the US Department of Veterans Affairs revealed that men with normal testosterone levels were significantly less likely to experience a stroke or heart attack. These findings suggest that maintaining healthy testosterone levels can be an important factor in overall cardiovascular health.

Improved Memory and Cognition

Do you need help remembering things you would normally not forget? Does it seem like you're in a "haze" sometimes and unable to get your point across? Low testosterone levels could be the culprit.

Fortunately, research has shown a correlation between higher levels of testosterone and a decreased likelihood of developing Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, studies have indicated that optimized testosterone levels may lead to improvements in memory, recall rate, and cognitive function. It stands to reason, then, that restored testosterone levels with the help of TRT in Spring Hill, TN, may help improve your memory and cognition.

 TRT Spring Hill, TN

Happier and More Positive Mood

Research has shown that low levels of testosterone may have negative effects on a person's quality of life, including symptoms such as depression, fatigue, and irritability. However, many studies have indicated that testosterone treatment can lead to improved mood and well-being, as well as reduced fatigue and irritability in men with hypogonadism. In fact, some research has even suggested that testosterone therapy could potentially be used as a form of antidepressant treatment.

If you would like more info on the benefits of testosterone replacement therapy and how it can help with issues such as poor mood, it's time to reach out to Compass Human Performance.

The Risks of Living Your Life with Low TRT

Reading about the benefits of TRT in Spring Hill, TN, can be incredibly reassuring for men. But it's important to digest and get a good understanding of the risks of living with low testosterone. Because, if we're being honest, there's more to think about than common symptoms like fatigue and lethargy.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy Spring Hill, TN

Research has shown a correlation between low testosterone levels and an increased risk of diabetes in men as they age. Furthermore, men with diabetes are more likely to have low testosterone levels and experience difficulties with insulin resistance. While testosterone replacement therapy is not a cure for diabetes, studies have suggested that men with healthy testosterone levels have improved blood sugar levels and a reduced risk of obesity.

As men age, they may find it challenging to manage excess body fat around their waistline despite leading a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and exercise. All that stubborn fat can be discouraging, but it's essential to understand that low testosterone levels may be the root cause. Research suggests that low T levels could lead to obesity as testosterone plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism by controlling insulin, glucose, and fat.

The good news is that undergoing TRT with a healthy lifestyle can help with weight loss and improve blood glucose and low-density cholesterol levels. If you find that managing your weight is becoming harder and harder, it might be time to consider testosterone replacement therapy.

Depression is a legitimate disorder that can manifest in various ways, such as feelings of inadequacy and a prolonged negative mood. Research has shown that men with depression and high cortisol levels often have low testosterone levels as well. This is due to the fact that elevated cortisol levels can lead to a decrease in T levels, which can increase the likelihood of severe depression.

When it comes to depression, it's important to remember that it should always be diagnosed and treated by a medical professional. Luckily, testosterone replacement therapy may aid in restoring hormone levels and enabling men to experience a brighter, more optimistic outlook. This is fantastic news for men who have tried antidepressant medications to no avail.

Anemia is a medical condition that arises due to a decrease or dysfunction of red blood cells, leading to a reduced supply of oxygen to organs. According to research, men with low testosterone levels are more susceptible to anemia since testosterone plays a crucial role in the production of healthy red blood cells.

In fact, a 2009 study revealed that older men with low T levels have a five times higher risk of developing anemia compared to those with normal testosterone levels. Although TRT cannot cure anemia, it can help stimulate the production of red blood cells, which may aid in preventing anemia.

What are common roofing issues?

Even properly maintained roofs inevitably run into issues after years of wear and tear. Proactive inspections and roof maintenance are vital in identifying issues before they worsen into costly repairs.

A few frequent roofing issues you may come across while conducting your own inspection include the following.

A major roofing problem is cracked or broken shingles. Asphalt shingles, a common material for roofs, usually last about 20–30 years, but exposure to harsh weather can lead to cracking or lifting. Curled, broken or missing shingles can lead to leaks, mold and structural decay by letting in moisture.

Flashing is the metal sheets around the seams and transition points of your roof. Its primary function is to protect these areas of your roof from rainwater, snowmelt and runoff. Flashing failure is when water leaks through your roof because of deterioration or improper installation. Warning signs of flashing failure include peeling paint, sagging areas, leaks coming from joints, drips from ceilings that align with flashing seams or moisture stains.

Leaks commonly occur around joints and flashing around skylights, roof penetrations and chimneys. Temperature changes and aging materials cause these joints to shift, allowing water in. Early detection and repair prevent mold growth and decay.

Attics with inadequate insulation cause uncomfortable temperatures in your home. This causes issues such as ice dams, high energy bills, mold, leaks and damaged rafters. Making sure your attic is properly insulated for Spring Hill's temperatures is a must for energy efficiency.

Standing water often happens when your roof's decking has low spots and debris accumulation. This can lead to standing water after storms, which can become a problem. If it persists for 48 hours or more, moisture can saturate and rot your roof components. It also puts major weight stress on your roof. Standing water can indicate a need to replace the roof surface due to a slope or bad drainage. Get rid of debris frequently and make sure there's proper drainage to prevent these issues.

How long are roofs supposed to last?

Multiple factors, such as your maintenance frequency, roof material, quality of installation and climate impact your roof's life expectancy. Installation quality is the most important factor in determining how long a roof will last.

The average life span of asphalt shingles is 20–30 years. Architectural shingles are on the higher end at 25–30 years, and traditional three-tab shingles generally last 15–20 years. Well-maintained wood shingles or shake roofs last around 20–25 years, but they can be prone to rot, mold and insect damage.

A metal roof's life span is 40–70 years or more. Concrete roofs last around 50 years, but sometimes last over a century with proper maintenance. Slate roofs can last for over 100 years.

How can you save money on a Spring Hill roof repair?

Roof repairs can be very expensive. Here's how you can lower on the cost.

A restaurant with multiple locations in East Tennessee has a building plan approved in Spring Hill, and there's speculation that the same brand is linked to a restaurant project in Lebanon that is tied to a $1.5 million incentive.

Aubrey's Restaurant was approved for a 7,636-square-foot building at 3091 Miles Johnson Parkway in Spring Hill, according to city officials.

Lebanon has also approved a site plan for a 7,636-square-foot restaurant, located at 1648 W. Main St., but that project is identified only under the code name "Central Perk."

There was speculation that Aubrey's is the brand connected to Central Perk after that name was mentioned by a restaurant operator and another resident during the public comments portion of a recent Lebanon City Council meeting where concerns were raised about the $1.5 million appropriation.

Lebanon officials have neither confirmed nor denied that Aubrey's is the restaurant affiliated with Central Perk. Efforts to reach Aubrey's personnel were unsuccessful.

The approved Aubrey's in Spring Hill

Spring Hill has not approved incentives for Aubrey's, according to City Administrator Pam Caskie.

The building plan that Spring Hill approved last year was for 7,636 square feet, the same size as the Central Perk building approved in Lebanon.

"It is a great choice to give people an alternative to a national chain," Caskie said of Aubrey's.

Caskie estimated construction could start in the spring and take 12-18 months, but the timeline is still tentative.

Aubrey's lists 14 locations now operating in East Tennessee.

Concerns expressed about incentives for Aubrey's in Lebanon

At a recent Lebanon City Council meeting, several restaurant operators raised questions about Central Perk, whether it is or isn't Aubrey's.

"What is the selection process?" Cedar City Brewing partner Kyle Shaffer asked the Council. "How do you go about selecting how much money is being given out? Why not $100,000? Why is it $1.5 million and why is there only one recipient of that money and not multiple recipients that could benefit from these funds?"

Another restaurant owner argued why use the equity to help fund new food businesses when local businesses have used their own capital.

Lebanon Mayor Rick Bell defended the city's incentive, saying more and nicer restaurants is a constant demand city officials hear from residents.

"I understand where you guys are coming from," Bell said to the restaurant operators. "I stand by this incentive. I really do, because people are demanding we bring these restaurants in. We hear it all the time."

Bell stated that the $1.5 million incentive will be paid from the city’s hotel and motel tax fund, generally paid by out-of-town customers.

Lebanon has incentivized other projects, including the Publix development on State Route 109 and the Western Plaza redevelopment on West Main Street.

The mayor described a need for an aggressive approach to restaurant recruitment, in part because the city has fewer rooftops per square mile on average than many comparable Nashville suburbs. For Lebanon to attract full-service restaurants, “we have to work harder,” Bell said.

"The people out here want things," Bell said. "We're going to go out and get them."

Lebanon created an Industrial Development Board, which is focused on recruiting new stores and restaurants. The board and City Council both approved the $1.5 million for Central Perk.

There was a vetting process by a third party that required Central Perk to open its books, according to Bell. The mayor provided some details about the Central Perk restaurant. They include 85-100 jobs, about 7,600 square feet of dining space and 1,700 square feet of patio space.

Workers at the Spring Hill General Motors plant won't join the strike this week as negotiations continue between three auto manufacturers and the national United Auto Workers union.

However, parts distribution centers for GM have been called to walk out, affecting centers in Memphis and dozens of other parts centers in the U.S., following a Friday address by UAW President Shawn Fain.

Earlier this week, a Spring Hill GM plant strike was much-speculated after a reported 13,000 autoworkers of the union's 150,000 members took up signs, officially walking out of GM, Ford and Stellantis plants in three states — Ohio, Michigan and Missouri.

More than 3,000 United Auto Workers members are employed at the Spring Hill plant.

The core issues of concern to workers are pay and cost of living increases.

Fain addressed more than 50,000 people Friday morning on a Facebook Live event. Ford, he said, has made positive efforts at the negotiating table, but Stellantis and GM continue to play hardball.

Fain called on all parts distribution facilities 38 factories between GM and Stellantis to walk out. While that doesn't include the Spring Hill plant, it does include one in Memphis that employs about 200 employees.

"Stellantis and GM are going to need some serious pushing," he said. "Both of those companies have rejected all of our job security proposals. Both GM and Stellantis have rejected our profit sharing proposals, and both companies have rejected our proposals to convert temps."

During his talk, Fain addressed the Spring Hill plant, saying workers are still prepared to strike if more negotiation demands aren't reached.

Earlier this week, UAW spokesperson Brian Costantino said workers in Spring Hill are "fired up" and "fed up."

Since that time, all eyes have been on Spring Hill's GM plant, the largest in North America, and whether it would also join the "Stand Up Strike" for better wages and opportunities for employees.

The UAW strike has been anticipated as potentially the largest strike in the union's history, with its most recent company-wide walkout occurring in 2019.

The 11-million-square-foot Spring Hill GM plant, which opened in 1990 on 2,100 acres, builds SUV models, including Cadillac models XT5, XT6, and the all-electric LYRIQ, powered by Ultium Cells batteries, and the GMC Acadia.

GM Spring Hill plant manager weighs in on UAW Strike, says local strike impact may be inevitable

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's technically still business as usual at the GM Plant in Spring Hill, even if it doesn't feel that way.

"There’s a lot of discussions that’s happening up north in the negotiations and really that’s where that focus needs to be," said Anton Busuttil, Plant Manager of the Spring Hill plant.

The United Autoworkers have been striking at select Big Three Automaker plants for the last three weeks. As a part of their strategy, they've kept everyone in the dark about which plants are next — including their own workers.

"It’s tense every Friday, right? Because we just don’t know what’s going to happen," said John Rutherford, the UAW Local 1853 President, during an interview with NewsChannel 5 last week.

Rutherford says even though Spring Hill hasn't been invited to the picket line yet, they stand willing and able.

"We’re not in the business to bankrupt the company. If they’re not making money, we’re not making money right? So times are very well, very good after bankruptcy. It looks like a much brighter future so we’re trying to get back some of what we lost," he said.

Of course, Busuttil argues that GM has already offered up a good deal to UAW.

"We’ve put out our most generous offer we’ve ever put out for the UAW, and what’s on the table right now are historic wage gains, job security focus, maintaining the great healthcare that we provide for our employees," said Busuttil. "Quite honestly, if we don’t reinvest in the company, we won’t have the future that we would all desire."

Whether or not Spring hill is selected to strike next, the plant could still eventually send workers home. As UAW grows the strike, if Spring Hill's part manufacturers are taken offline, GM may be forced to furlough workers in the mid-state.

"There’s some work stoppages — that would be inevitable that we would have to stop production," said Busuttil.

Perhaps the one thing both respective leaders can agree on is that they're longing for the day they can truly get back to business as usual.

"If we were called upon to have a strike, we would have to pause operations," said Busuttil.

"We don’t want to strike, but if we have to, we have to," said Rutherford.
